Our school "Saint Christophe La Salle" is a Catholic primary school and kindergarten, located in Lorient in Brittany.

History

“St Christophe La Salle” is a Catholic educational establishment, under contract with the State, founded in 1849 by the "Brothers of Christian Schools".  

We are part of the “Saint Joseph La Salle” school group. It belongs to the first educational network in the world, founded at the end of the 17th century: 1500 establishments, 79 countries, 1.3 million students. We welcome about 136,000 students of all ages in 138 schools in France alone.

 The "Lassalien" nettwork is named after Jean Baptiste de La Salle (1651-1719), the patron saint of educators, who still inspires and connects teachers to this day.

We have made it our mission: 

• to awaken all forms of intelligence through the blossoming of the talents of each individual 
• to raise citizens who respect themselves and others
  
• to allow a harmonious social and professional integration

• to be mindful and to open up to the meaning of existence and the hope of Christianity
